Eric ANG

Eric ANG easy name to remember. My name is Eric ANG and I was born and I grew up in the Philippines in the small city of Palayan with a population of 33,506 people. Palayan is the smallest city in the Philippines.

My parents owned a gun range and I had no siblings to take care of so I spent most of my life shooting. I could shoot before I could even walk. I didn't have many friends growing up so I spent most of my childhood shooting. My father was always very proud of my shooting skills and he always gave me tips that were always very helpful.

At the age of 10 I started shooting competitively I was the best in my league. The actually made me shoot against the 15 year old age group that was a little tougher but the first competition I came in first and I was very proud of myself and so was my father.

As I became older the better I got at shooting, the better I got at shooting the more money I won, the more money I won the more guns and more ammo I have

Every day I went out to the shooting at the range to perfect my skills at shooting. Even if it was pouring out I still went to the range. That's how I perfect my by shooting in different weather conditions so the I can be accurate in any shooting situation I'm in.

I spend my whole life doing what I love and I will die happy doing it.

The Olympics

What do the Olympics represent? The Olympics represent a series of sporting events to show which country is better at that sport.

What do the Olympics mean to you? To me the Olympics mean many different things to show which country is better different sport such as  volleyball, tennis, track, and many many more. To show how they play the sport and how competitive they are.

If you could participate in any Olympic event, which event would you do? If I could participate in the Olympics I would want to participate in the TRAP shooting  AND 50M RIFLE PRONE shooting. I LOVE TO SHOOT TRAP AND I LOVE TO ALL AROUND SHOOT THOSE WOULD BE THE EVENTS I WOULD CHOOSE MOST THAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO. IT STILL WOULD BE AWESOME JUST TO WATCH THE OLYMPICS IN PERSON THAN WATCH IT ON THE TV.

So i think the olympics we are having will be fun as long as no one does boring events.

Chinese Movie

If you were Xiaochun, how would you have handled the situation?
I would have done the same thing to buy that jacket for the nice woman. His old teacher told him if you don't like playing you  don't have to play. Do things that you enjoy not what others want you to do.

Did he make the right decision?
I think he made the right decision by selling his violin. He kept playing because his dad wanted to succeed in life but he doesn't want to play any more but he borrows one of his teachers violins just to make his dad feel good.

If you were him, what choice would you make?
If I was him I wouldn't have kept playing violin I would have told my dad I don't want to play violin any more. If I screw up in life I would fix my problems on my own.

What are the pros and cons of this decision.
  Pros
e
  • How others live
  • culture
  • music
Cons
  • Not in English
  • hard to follow
  • a lot of reading
Other than that it was on OK movie. It was funny how his first teacher had all of those cats.

BLOG OF THE WEEK

This week in English we finished act one in Romeo & Juliet. The Romeo character is such a downer, he never wants to have fun, his cousin make fun of him and I think he deserves it. Romeo in a downer because the girl he loves is becoming a Nun and he mopes around all day. If I was him I would Be angry for a little bit but I would get over it which it seems he can't do that so he needs to grow up and get over it.

In Science we learned about Newton Laws about gravity. His fist law is the easiest it is objects in motion stay in motion unless an equal or greater force is applied. The are easy because we learned about the laws last year in science. Some test we did in science last year to test the laws were, we launched homemade model rockets to test the fist law.

In Social Studies we started to learn about the Middle East. We started to learn about culture from around the world. We go assigned to make a poster about a Middle Eastern country and got Jordan. For the poster it made me think a lot about culture in other country's and how different I would feel if I was there. Learning about different cultures was a lot of fun and I hope we get to do more of that kind of stuff.

On Friday we got to try different food from other cultures and it was tasty. My Favorite food that I had was called Baklava and it was like eating happiness. The Baklava was a hundred times better than the cupcake. I hope Mr. Reichle will make more food from other cultures. Trying the different foods from different cultures was a new and fun experience for me. I would have to say this was the best week of the semester.
